Schedule I Drug Production Guide: From Seed to Sale

Production is the backbone of your Schedule I empire. This guide covers every aspect of drug manufacturing, from basic marijuana cultivation to advanced cocaine processing and custom mixing recipes.

Marijuana Growing System

Required Equipment

All growing supplies are purchased from Dan's Hardware or Oscar's Store:

  • Grow Tent: $100 (2x2 tiles)
  • Soil: Basic requirement
  • Water: Basic requirement
  • Seeds: Purchased from Albert Hoover

Seed Types

Seed Price Suggested Sale Effect Base Addiction Rank Required
OG Kush $30 $38 Sedating 0% Street Rat I
Sour Diesel $35 $40 Energizing 10% Street Rat IV
Green Crack $40 $43 Euphoric 34% Hoodlum II
Granddaddy Purple $45 $44 Hypnotic 0% Hoodlum IV

Growing Process

  1. Place Grow Tent
  2. Add soil
  3. Water the soil
  4. Plant seed
  5. Wait for growth (use growth lights to accelerate)
  6. Harvest

Growth Lights

  • Halogen: $40 - Base speed
  • LED: $80 - ~15% faster (bugged to ~12%)
  • Full Spectrum: $200 - ~30% faster (bugged to ~24%)

Additives

  • Fertilizer: $30 - Quality improvement
  • PGR: $30 - Increased yield, reduced quality
  • Speed Grow: $30 - Instant 50% growth, reduced quality

Advanced Growing Equipment

Sprinklers and Soil Pourers

  • Pot Sprinkler: $200 - Auto-waters adjacent tents (employees don't benefit)
  • Soil Pourer: $300 - Auto-adds soil to adjacent tents (employees don't benefit)
  • Big Sprinkler: $1,000 - Waters 8 surrounding plants
  • Air Pot: $120 - 15% faster growth, 30% increased water consumption

Important: Botanist employees do NOT benefit from sprinklers or soil pourers. This has been confirmed through data mining and player testing.

Mushroom Cultivation

Purchased from Fungal Phil (Hustler I rank required):

  • Grain Bag: $20
  • Spore Syringe: $120
  • Mushroom Substrate: $60

Process: Grain Bag + Spore Syringe → Inoculated Grain Bag + Mushroom Substrate in Mushroom Bed

Temperature Note: The Maintenance Office (sewer) naturally maintains 10°C (50°F), ideal for mushrooms without needing AC.

Methamphetamine Production

Purchased from Shirley Watts:

  • Low-Quality Pseudoephedrine: $60
  • Pseudoephedrine: $80
  • High-Quality Pseudoephedrine: $110

Equipment: Chemistry Station ($1,000) + Lab Oven for synthesis and drying

Cocaine Production

Purchased from Salvador Moreno (Enforcer I rank required):

  • Coca Seeds: $150 (meeting/delivery), $75 (dead drop)

Process: Plant coca leaves → Extract cocaine base → Process in Lab Oven → Finished cocaine

Mixing System

Mixing Stations

  • Mixing Station: $500 (Hoodlum V unlock)
  • Mixing Station Mk2: $2,000 (Peddler II unlock) - Auto-feeding, faster mixing

Purpose: Combine products with additives to create custom effects and higher value products.

Notable Mix Recipes

Mix Ingredients Effects Use Case
Anti-Gravity Granddaddy Purple + Energy Drink + Acetaminophen Anti-Gravity / Athletic / Sneaky Rooftop escapes
High-Profit Mix Varies Increased value Maximizing sale price

Newbie Warning: Don't invest in mixing early. The process is tedious and profit increases are minimal. Wait until you can hire employees to automate mixing.

Packaging System

  • Packaging Station: $100 (Street Rat I) - Manual packaging
  • Packaging Station Mk II: $750 (Hoodlum V) - Rotary tool, massive speed increase
  • Brick Press: Compresses product into bricks (20x capacity) for bulk transport

Recommendation: Upgrade to Packaging Station Mk II as soon as possible. The time savings are enormous.

Temperature Control

  • Default property temperature: 20°C (68°F)
  • Maintenance Office: 10°C (50°F) - ideal for mushrooms
  • AC Unit: $1,800 (Hustler I + quest unlock) - heats or cools (right-click to toggle)
  • Marijuana and coca need appropriate temperatures
  • Mushrooms prefer cooler temperatures

Dead Drop System

  • Order seeds/materials from Albert via phone
  • Pick up at wall delivery slots scattered across the map
  • Orders accumulate debt that must be paid at Dan's Hardware drop
  • If unpaid, Albert stops accepting orders
  • Each order has a purchase limit
  • Arrival notification shows location in journal and compass

Automation Strategy

The Ideal Production Line

  1. Botanist tends plants (seeding, watering, additives, harvesting)
  2. Handler moves harvested product to Mixing Station
  3. Chemist runs mixing and processing
  4. Handler moves finished product to Packaging Station
  5. Handler moves packaged product to storage for sale

Employee Setup

  • Botanist: Assigned to all growing equipment (tents, pots, drying racks, mushroom beds)
  • Handler: 5 routes connecting all stations in sequence
  • Chemist: Up to 4 workstations per chemist

Multi-Property Production

With multiple properties, you can:

  • Run different product lines in different buildings
  • Use the Maintenance Office for mushroom-exclusive production
  • Scale employee count with property size (Barn: 10, Docks Warehouse: 12, Hyland Manor: 12)

Production Tips

  1. Early game: Focus on one product (OG Kush) and master the basics
  2. Mid game: Expand to 2-3 products with basic automation
  3. Late game: Full automation with employees across multiple properties
  4. Quality vs. Quantity: Higher quality products sell for more but take longer to produce
  5. Batch processing: Grow in bulk, then process in bulk for efficiency

Mastering production in Schedule I transforms you from a street dealer into a true drug kingpin. Build your facilities, hire your staff, and let the empire grow.
