R.E.P.O. Drone Guide: Complete Utility Breakdown

Drones are among the most versatile tools in R.E.P.O., offering unique utility that changes how you approach extraction. All drones are permanent purchases that persist between levels.

Recharge Drone ($14K-$18K)

Attaches to rechargeable items and automatically recharges them. Best for high-value weapons like Sledge Hammer or Shotgun. Essential for solo players who can't rely on teammates for cover during manual recharging.

Indestructible Drone ($22K-$30K)

Makes attached valuables immune to collision damage (but not pit falls). Mandatory for high-value fragile items like Dragon Skull ($45K-$50K), Troll Finger, and wide items like Piano or Animal Crate. Assign drone management to your most experienced player.

Roll Drone ($8K-$12K)

The cheapest and most versatile drone. Attach to items to roll them toward you, attach to yourself for emergency escape rolling, or attach to monsters for brief stun/knockback. Best value purchase—buy this first.

Feather Drone ($14K-$18K)

Makes targets significantly lighter. Essential for solo heavy-item extraction. Stacks with Strength Upgrades to make even weight-4 items manageable alone. Combine with Zero Gravity Drone for maximum item mobility.

Zero Gravity Drone ($22K-$30K)

The ultimate advanced tool. Players jump higher and fall slower. Items float in place, immune to gravity. Create floating "stepping stones" across pits, suspend items above monster reach, or transport heavy items vertically to high extraction points.

Purchase Priority

  1. Roll Drone (best value)
  2. Recharge Drone (weapon users)
  3. Feather Drone (solo players)
  4. Indestructible Drone (high-value runs)
  5. Zero Gravity Drone (advanced strategies)

Mastering drones separates good players from great ones. Invest early and practice their mechanics for dramatically improved extraction efficiency.
